I’ll be here when tomorrow comes to meet myself again

There are moments in life where you really just don’t feel like yourself; and regardless of how much you’ve grown, become, and overcome we all still get lost from time to time.

Can I be vulnerable with you, friend? That has been me the past few weeks.

I feel like I’ve been grasping, clawing and earnestly trying to be who I am and, day by day, slowly but surely I am getting there.

One part of that reclamation is understanding that this lost, wandering, broken soul is also exactly who I am. The sooner I can give this side of me acceptance and love, the sooner I can make peace with it and understand that some things can only be found by getting lost. The other part has been getting rooted in the basics: breathing deep, moving my body, quieting the mind, using my expressive outlets, screaming into my pillow, dreaming bigger, keeping the vision alive, and most especially leaning into the loving, supportive, and encouraging people who are in my corner(you know who you are and I love you).

Through all of this I am learning, and proving, that I am worth fighting for. The person I am and am becoming – both the great and the hot mess – is worth showing up for every single day.

If you’ve been in the same boat, then just know I am right there with you. I’ll be here when tomorrow comes to meet myself once again.

See you there?

To our growth,
Jean.
