Even if there are no guarantees, I will still give it my best shot

This season of my life feels very special.

It is especially difficult, messy, and lonely. I find myself asking on a daily basis, “How?”

How will I get through the day, how will I find the time, how will I meet my daily non-negotiable goals, how will I muster the words to write a blog?

It is often a surprise to me, but usually the words are found, the goals are crossed off, time reveals its illusions and I am alive to see another day.

It is teaching me to lean into the inbetween – between here and there, where I am and where I am going, at hour 1 and hour 24 – and to thrive in those unknown, unguaranteed, and undeterminded spaces.

At the end of it all, the only guarantee that I can control is how I show up and whether I give it my best shot come what may.

To our growth,
Jean.
