This aint my first rodeo kid…
I think its fitting for this blog post to share my journal entry from 9 years ago.
It’s funny, I have to stop myself from typing “first blog post” and “first journal entry” because these are in fact not my first. I have scribbled, written, jotted down and poured my heart with words, photos and drawings onto pages, agendas, notebooks, the margins of novels, napkins, and post-it notes for a long time. I am now venturing into doing all of that in the online space, and creating a catalogue of all that has passed and all that is coming.
What the above journal entry does represent is the start of my journey from unconscious to conscious. The unravelling, undoing, the unlearning to re-building, re-learning, becoming, and building.
It has been 9 years since that entry, but even now these words on this page feel like a re-birth. Some sort of new start, new beginning, new phase.
I suppose every journey feels that way, and I think its because we know that from this moment on we will never be the same version of ourselves again.
We are becoming something with a potentiality that not even we can predict.
I am so excited for this new leg of my journey, and I am grateful that you’re here.
To your growth,
Jean.
