More than ever it seems I have been wanting to hold those dear to me very close.
I can sense something has shifted within me about the value I place on relationships, and how much importance I believe it plays in one’s overall well-being.
Perhaps it is finding peace in solitude which means anyone I am around is carefully chosen, perhaps it is cutting out the people, places, and things that were draining, or just a natural progression of maturing.
Whatever it is, I am grateful.
It may have made my circle smaller but it has significantly upped the quality, love, respect, reciprocation, and truth as well.
It is worth it knowing that authenticity is valued, there may be disagreements, there may be long distances, age gaps, many similarities, totally different seasons in life, struggles or long stretches of silence but in the end there will always be a warm hug and friendly smile waiting.
