If the past few days have taught me anything it is that sometimes our willingness and courage to love comes from knowing that we have been loved ourselves.
The same goes with kindness, empathy, understanding, encouragement, grace. All of the things that create stronger bonds, draws us towards our fellow humans instead of away, and reminds us we are not alone.
When we are the recipients of these gifts and truly know how much of a lifeline it can be, it is hard not to share it with someone else – not to give it freely and generously. Especially when we understand it costs us nothing, but makes us rich in a way that nothing else can.
