I don’t like waiting.
I’ve always been the type of person who jumps right in – no need to test the waters beforehand – whether that be with an actual cold body of water, lifestyle changes, or putting myself out there.
I was chatting with a friend the other the day and arguing that there is so much value in harnessing one’s impatience to get things going instead of sitting around, but I also know I have had to learn that that is just the start.
That initial jump off the cliff is just the set-up to actually start flapping my wings and get the hang of flying which takes substantially more time than the former to master.
Although it takes courage to jump off the cliff, it does not require patience and if I want to one day be so in my element that flying is effortless, just like a bird in the air, then its necessary that I learn to view my life and the development of it in the long term.
Man, I must be growing up or something!
To our growth,
Jean.
