The power of a dream, pursued and realised, doesn’t just lie in the personal achievement and satisfaction of a goal but in the ability to have paved a way and all the doors we can then open for others.
It is easy to think that our dreams only affect ourselves, but something that hit me right in the heart today was that we sorely underestimate the ripple effect our actions, example, and dreams can have.
We truly don’t know who is watching, who is taking notes, who is getting inspired or challenged to take action, who just needs someone to be that light, or to plant a seed that may eventually grow.
Nothing we do happens inside of a vacuum, we all impact each other in numerous ways – big and small. And even the dreams, desires, and yearnings we keep locked in our hearts and away from prying eyes, has the ability to touch others if we’re willing to let it out, let it free, and let it grow.
As the saying goes, “when one dream is realised, a thousand more become possible.”
