It is part of human folly, or at least has been part of my own folly, to expect results overnight even though we’ve heard the cliche over and over that things take time.
I reflected on how the first week of 2022 has gone and I know I felt like I was struggling, feeling a lot of resistance, and banging my head against the wall. But how can this be? I’ve done my reflecting, introspecting, planning and preparing!
Of course, planning is not the same as implementing, acting on the plan, and following through. And even though there is much I would prefer to leave behind in 2021 – like my procrastination, scarcity mindset, doubt, etc. – it is still going to take a bit of time to phase out of it; to become greater.
It’s going to take some time, there is no formula for how long, and is going to require me to show up for practice daily.
So, as I reflected, I allowed myself the space and grace to say: “I am still finding my footing.” & I know slowly but surely I’ll get there.
To our growth,
Jean.
